Dr. Baker is a native of Montreal,(Quebec), Canada and received her veterinary degree After graduation, Dr. Baker did an internship and 3-year residency program at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Baker joined Whitney Veterinary Hospital as a veterinarian on October 1, 2002. Dr. Baker is a member of the following professional organizations: American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

In her free time, she enjoys baking, camping, fishing and traveling abroad. She lives in a Peoria suburb with her daughter Madelyne, son Tristin and their two cats - Jabba and Seyma.
